How to make an appointment?

We accept bookings online via Facebook @redcatstudio.nanaimo, Instagram , via email redcat.tattooart@gmail.com. Contact us with your tattoo ideas, size and placement of your future tattoo, reference images in good quality if you have any. Before designing your tattoo (not after!) we need to know if you have any specific requests as for your piece. A deposit required for every appointment in the form of e-transfer or in-person payment. Also, feel free to visit our Nanaimo tattoo studio to book in person!

Do you take walk-ins?

Yes, we do, but only when we have spare time available. You can try your luck and come in anytime during our working hours, but it's best to contact us ahead to inquire about our artists availability.

What forms of payments do you accept?

We accept cash as well as debit and credit cards (Mastercard, Visa, American Express).

How old should I be to get the tattoo?

A.

19 years old to sign the consent form for yourself. Or at least 16 if your parent is signing for you. Red Cat Studio requires all clients to show proper identification upon request to get a tattoo.

How much does the tattoo cost?

A.

Our hourly rate for custom tattoos is 185$ + tax. Minimal charge is $140 including healing bandages and tax. You pay for time spent to execute tattoo design on your body in the best way possible. That depends on size, complexity and placement of the tattoo and how well you can sit during the session.

How to prepare for the tattoo session?

A.

To have the best experience please arrive for your tattoo appointment well rested after a good night sleep, have a substantial meal before your sitting. Make sure you stay hydrated throughout the day, before and after getting a tattoo. Feel free to bring drinks and light snacks, specially for longer sessions. Please do not try to prepare yourself for the tattooing with help of alcohol or drugs. It can increase bleeding, painful sensations and can compromise the quality of your tattoo due to additional ink loss. We will refuse service if you are under the influence of alcohol/drugs and your behavior is disruptive.

What is deposit?

A.

Deposit is required to book a tattoo appointment. We do not hold appointments without the deposit. Depending on the size and complexity of your project deposit amount starts at $50. When you get your design tattooed this deposit will be deducted from your last sitting`s bill. Deposits can not be refunded in cash value. It will cover artist's time in case of a no show on appointment or if you change your mind about getting a tattoo for any reason. If you have to reschedule your appointment please do so at least 2 full business days in advance of your appointment time to retain the deposit.

Do you do cover-ups?

Yes, we do! We love giving new life to old tattoos. Please stop by the Studio for free consultation so we can see your tattoo in person and discuss options for your rework/cover-up or find out weather we will be able to help you, as every case is individual.

How do I take care of my tattoo?

A.

This information will be provided to you at the end of your tattooing session with Red Cat Tattoo and Art Studio. You will be given a printed copy of our carefully created aftercare brochure with instructions and recommendations. Remember that it is your responsibility to take a proper care of your fresh tattoo once it has been applied on your skin by Artist.
